In 90 ages last century, digital TV technology developed in world wide. DVBS is the specification of Europe digital TV. The satellite transion has the performance of cover wide and capacitance. DVBS specification is adopted by almost satellite broadcast digital TV system. A whole digital TV system is divided into two parts from the point of view of analog and digital: tuner and demodulator. And oscillator is an important part in tuner circuit. Its stand or fall will affect the performance of the entire tuner even the entire digital TV system.This paper discusses the theory and implementation of inductor & capacitor oscillator, and explaines the profound things in a simple way much key technology in voltage-controlled oscillator.Firstly, the paper analyses and sums up the linear time-variet model of phase noise. Then it introduces the basis principle of oscillator and sort.It Summerize the implementation of inductor & capacitor voltage-controlled oscillator. The paper describes mechanism of oscillator and sums up design & optimization methord. From the linear & time-variet model point, the paper calculates the limit value of phase noise and gives some kinds of reduction phase noise. Inductance voltage-controlled reduction phase noise technology is put forward.In the end, the paper labors the implementation of inductor & capacitor based on 0.18Um CMOS RF/mixed signal technics according to the performance request of digital TV tuner PLL.
