Monobus technology is one of the popular communication technologies at the present time. It solves many problems, such as communication and power supply, by using one connecting line, and possesses the following advantages: simple structure, low cost, I/O ports being saved, convenience for bus extension and maintenance, etc. . The monobus technology is suitable for an application in which one host computer controls one or multiple peripherals, and can be widely applied to the applications of measurement and control system with low rate, such as environment monitoring, community warding, ect.Two deficiencies of monobus technology are discussed. One deficiency is the low rate of transmission, and the other is that its application area is limited to the terminals of micro-power. .Considering limitations in the development of monobus technology, the implementation scheme of a new monobus communication technology is introduced in this paper, In this scheme, a pulse amplitude modulation technology is adopted to increase the rate of data transmission; and the constant current source and efficient DC/DC convertor are used as the power of the monobus equipments.The design scheme of the new mono-bus communication system is firstly demonstrated in this paper. Then, in order to facilitate design and research of monobus and considering factors, such as project cost and difficulties of project implementation, transmission media which are suitable for new monobus communication system, is employed, and the method used to analyze transmission line wastage is also presented in this paper according to the basic theory of transmission line. Finally, a typical and new circuit of monobus communication system is designed and implemented in this paper.
