The progress of satellite technology and military application has great improved the communication level of army. The level of communication has important effort on the outcome of the war. Nowadays, the use of satellite communication is popular in USA army, and brings great information superiority. Under such situation, the application and modeling of satellite communication on ground military operations in armored system of systems warfare are studied in this thesis. First, the advantages of Satellite Communication application in modern army operation are proposed and compared with traditional ground wireless video communication. Two typical application of satellite communication in armored division combat then are discussed and analyzed in the article. After that, models on satellite communication in battle field are built, including satellite communication node model, satellite communication link model and satellite communication net model. In these models several factors are under consideration such as noise, air condition, distance, communication jamming etc. Then, an example was studied to indicate that the application of satellite communication in armored division can promote its effective reaction speed in operation. According to HLA specification, the whole simulation system of armored systematic warfare is discussed then the communication satellite federation member's simulation object model is built. |
