Office Automation (OA), the main means is the automation of office information processing. It applies advanced information technology and integration technology to enable various business activities gradually completed engaged in from people to office equipment, human-computer information system, so as to reach the goal of decreasing the intensity of labor, avoiding duplication, improving work efficiency and achieving better economic efficiency.With the development of the representatives of computer and communication technology, OA plays an increasingly important role in the management and business activities of enterprises. OA system is called upon to adapt to the changing requirements of the office, provide the individual office functions of document processing, as well as asked to meet the need of the exchange and sharing of information. Workflow concerns the process automation. According to a series of defined rules, it passes documents, information and tasks among the participants to achieve a certain purpose. The integration of workflow technology and OA is a kind of computer technology to complete task process coordination and collaboration in a distributed environment whose aim is to achieve the automation of human and computer interaction process.From the application, at present the workflow technology is regarded as a key technology to improve office efficiency and productivity, it is also a hotspot in the field of computer applications. In office work of enterprises, more than 70 percent of the work is routine, and there are relatively fixed processes and methods, and it can be completed following prescribed order. The workflow technology can be a good description of the enterprise business processes. Therefore, workflow is the core of office work. A good OA system should be equipped with perfect custom and tracking functions, to ensure a fast and flexible implementation of the enterprises conventional office activities, so as to improve work efficiency and quality of office activities.From the development perspective, the workflow technology is one of the core technologies of OA development. In the development process of OA system, a detailed and seriously analysis of the requirement is essential, and also the key to the success of the implementation of the system. Because OA System is based on workflow technology, the traditional functions analysis design can not meet the need of analysis of OA system. With strong vitality and a good dynamic, the OA system which is based on workflow technology can adapt to the characteristics of office automation system.WorkFlow Management Coalition, the standard organization of workflow technology, put forward reference model of workflow products and a set of criteria, this paper has conducted in-depth analysis about these criteria. However, the most important tasks of designing OA system by workflow method is the design of office process, thus involves the research of workflow modeling technology. There are many methods of workflow modeling, this paper researched the application of Petri-net in workflow modeling, according to B/S model designed and implemented a web OA system which is based on InforFlow platform. The paper described in detail the modeling method which is based on Petri-net, as well as how to extract workflow from the business process and verify the validity of the workflow model.
