The Policy Of CCP And Its Theoretical Basis: The Case Study Of Study Magazine Incident In 1952

In 1952, when the"Three opposition"movement and"Five opposition"movement were launching to hit the bourgeois, the study magazine criticized the bourgeois severely, whose viewpoint went against the policy of the CCP. So it was blamed by Central Committee of CCP for having left a bad influence on the society. This is"the study magazine incident".When the PRC was founded, CCP made the policy of utilizing and confining the bourgeois. On one hand, they developed the useful economy of bourgeois. On the other hand, they confined it's negativity by different means. The policy was written in the Common outline. However, the bourgeois disobeyed it. Their illegal deeds did great harm to the development of the future and destiny of the country. CCP leaded people to launch the campaign against the bourgeois. They tried to beat the bourgeois strongly while still uniting the majority of it. Not only do they launched the political campaign, but also they paid attention to the economic condition closely. In a word, the aim of the campaign is to change the world and sweep away the unlawful deeds of the bourgeois, who should follow the regulation of the Common outline .However, the study magazine went against the policy and made a mistake. They ignored the bourgeois'positivity in the history and the reality, they also denied the rationality of their own profits. They deviated from the Common outline and advanced the responsibility of idea change. They request them to become as unselfish as the working class were. All of this made the bourgeois scared and left a bad influence on the society.By comparision, we can find that two main reasons contributed to the faulty of the study magazine. The exterior one was that they didn't understand the policy made by CCP; the inner one was that they didn't grasp the social phase. After the foundation of PRC, we were not able to build the socialism for the low productivity. So, we had to prepare for the socialism by means of the neo- democratism. At that time, we should unite all people to devote to the social construction. Although the bourgeois had certain negativity, they were useful for the economic rebuilding of the society, and they also had certain positivity in politics. However, the study magazine went to extreme and wanted to adopt the extreme policy. Although the thing happened 50 years ago, it still has some important implication for us. It is useful for our understanding of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, especially the preliminary phase of socialism.
