With the rapid development of the embedded system and signal processing technology, audio technology is not only widely used in people's daily life, but also in the military field.This paper studies audio signal collection and processing technology used in the soldier equipment. The signal includes audio, speech and detonation wave produced by firing of a rifle. The embedded system armed by soldier collects audio, and then transmits it after being encoded, or receipts and decodes it to playback and implement the communication between the soldiers. The embedded system collects the detonation wave on multi-points of a microphone array, and locates the position of the sniper based on a location algorithm.This paper analyzes the current development status of audio technology, sniper localizor technology and embedded system information processing platform in domestic and foreign research work. And this paper chooses the platform which depends on many important factors, such as size, power consumption and capability of computation. The research is done on the problem of the program development using CCS (Code Compose Studio). The real-time collection and playing of the audio is implemented, and the speech G729 codec algorithm is transplanted to the DaVinci platform.Based on the time arrival difference method, this paper introduces the sound resource localizer algorithm which adopted a microphone array: the microphone array is composed of three microphones, the system gets the position of the sound resource through the detection of the time difference among the detonation wave caused by shooting reached every microphone.This paper presents the design of three microphone prefix-magnify circuit and three filter circuits. As the output of a sound source positioning circuit are DC signals, so the system designs a separate hardware circuit to collect these signals.Moreover, the paper studies the display technology of the DaVinci platform. The image and text can be displayed on the LCD.
