The development of Internet and multimedia technology has brought opportunities and challenges to broadcasting. As one of the three traditional media, broadcasting must be combined with advanced technology to seek development. Therefore, how to collect innovative programs by Internet for their own usage and how to improve the influence of radio stations have become an urgent problem to solve. In order to use the existing radio resources and to take more advantages of radio stations, radio stations have decided to develop an audio collection and management system. The system should be able to implement audio data collection, audio compression, transformation, storage management, audition and download for audio programs distributed in different radio stations.In the thesis, system development tools and key technologies involved are introduced. Through the investigation on the radio station, the article makes specific requirement analysis, and determines the final functions and tasks of the system. And then, it discusses the design of the overall framework, the design of the database, and the process of the implementation.This system mainly includes an audio collection subsystem and an audio management subsystem. The audio collection subsystem runs on linux operating system. It is developed using C language. The subsystem can collect audio data from each radio station by programming on multiple sound cards. And then, the audio files are compressed and transformed. At last, the final audio files are stored on the FTP server. The audio management subsystem is developed by using the WAMP technology. WAMP means that Apache, MySQL, and PHP are used on the Windows platform. PHP is a very widely used script language.It has the ability of Object Oriented Programming, is especially suitable to the Web development. The subsystem implements user management, audio file upload, audition, download, and etc.Multimedia technology in the field of broadcast media and the establishment of broadcast audio database are very important to the radio stations. High quality audio files can be obtained and the audio databases are enriched. The audio files can be managed easily and a resource-sharing platform is implemented.
