Elevated light rail transit is one of main development directions in modern traffic system field. It is also a hot research spot in domestic and international traffic area. Light rail vehicle operation management information system is established to help dispatch and manage the light rail vehicles, improve technology management level and ensure the efficience and safe use of the vehicles with modern high-tech.In the three processes including system analysis, design and realization, the design of Tianjin light rail vehicle operation management information system is described in the thesis by adopting methods of information systems analysis and design.Firstly, specific workflow of the depot control centers, the demand function of system, the role of the functional modules and inter-relationship between all modules are analyzed in detail. The information flow between the input and output of the system has been made clear and definite data. The design of database and format-conversion of available data have been completed.Secondly, on the basis of the demand analysis, the design and development of vehicle resume module, vehicle use plan-generated module, depot track information module, vehicle maintenance plan module and simulant GIS module are mainly described in the thesis. The description has been done from two aspects, the operation and security management of the light rail rolling stocks. The functions of the system are achieved by using object-oriented design methods, Visual Studio.NET platform and Oracle database.Lastly, system maintenance and key technology which is used in the process of system development are particularly described.System test and field trial operation of light rail vehicle operation management information system have been completed by now. After modifying some problems in the process of trial operation, the scene of the demand has basically achieved. The system is proved to increase production efficiency, save human resources and achieve a unified planning for scheduling, maintenance and production of light rail vehicles. It will serve the depot better with accurate, automated and real-time dynamic information.
