Blog appeared in China since 2002, it had experienced the booming growth on 2005, which was the first year of the development of blog in China. The blog, whose growth rate is really very alarming, has nearly 50 million users .The popular of blog had increased its influence and aroused people's interest and research. On the study of blog, people tend to do the research from the macro perspective, especially focus on its impact and significance on society and communication. These types of study have considerable theoretical value, but too many studies from this perspective, turns to be vague and unconvincing. This paper selects a specific perspective and tries to use the theory of discourse power of Cultural Studies to ravel the significance of blog, which is a typical application of the new media technology, of reforming the order of discourse power.The internet media receives society attention for its impact on the traditional discourse power. As the typical application of the web2.0, the blog's impact on discourse power receives much more attention. Many researchers hold the idealism or the technology determinism principle in studying blog, and thought that blog is the Savior who can subvert the discourse hegemony of traditional media. They entrusted with the blog excessive sense of mission and responsibility, thus have neglected the blog's true status and function.This article analyzed some related concepts, such as blog and the discourse power, utilized Michel Foucault's discourse power theory and other power and discourse theory, and reveled how the blog revolts against the traditional media and the media elite's discourse power rule. In addition, the paper also analyzed the new discourse power's control and revolt, which is resulted from the polarization of blog interior, the elite group and the grass- root group. This point is always neglected by many researchers. The blog is only one kind of technical application, what truly decided the discourse power order is the reality's authority relations. We should be vigilant towards such viewpoints that too exaggerate the technical force. Simultaneously, it should be shed light on the new situation that the barriers and problems appeared in the development of blog has exposed its crisis which existed in the process of influence discourse power.
