As the rapid development of embedded technology, embedded systems have applied in a variety of areas, such as the Electrical and Mechanical control, automotive, transportation, industrial automation systems and other economic related fields. Embedded systems are playing an increasingly important role.Based on a certain representative IP instrument control modules, this paper analyses the application needs and development trends of the kernel hardware, peripherals and interfaces, software, communications protocols, and based on this proposed a flexible hardware and software configurations, applicability, cost-effective modular embedded system is designed. The main contents are:1) Based on the ARM microprocessor embedded system hardware platforms, its related hardware drivers are designed.2) A detailed analysis ofμCOS-II kernel principles and architecture, the code related to the hardware transplantation is prepared, thus achievingμCOS-II operating system platform transplant.3) GUI support program is designed so that the users can focus their energies on dealing with the data collection ,judgments, implementation and operation. GUI support program is dealing with the interface response.Through this research of this projects in the ultimate realization of a hardware from the ground to the multi-task kernel software support can be expanded from the external equipment and the driver can be transplanted to the flexible graphical user interface supports a complete set of system performance and complexity Medium degree of modular embedded system solution, not only can be used in IP detection system, also applies to a variety of other devices and equipment.
