Along with the fast development of display manufacturing industry, company A decides to control its cost of quality so as to fulfillment the productivity promotion strategy.The line equipment shutdown loss should be controlled when it is introduced into the internal failure cost of quality. To improve the equipment running reliability and reduce the failure rate of the equipment, the display assembly line is taken as the research object. This thesis discusses the theory application of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) in the display assembly line equipment management. Using RCM ,the topic defines five critical equipment bases on the category and analysis of the historical data of equipment running and maintenance record in 2005; sets up equipment reliability performance indicator with two shifts production bases on the reliability parameter analysis; settles critical equipment maintenance item and establishes equipment maintenance sequence by logic way after fault tree analysis so as to provide the guidelines to the equipment daily checking schedule; determines the optimal preventive maintenance cycle for critical equipment bases on potential accident theory; validates the rationality of RCM application result on display assembly line equipment management from the statistic real data appraisals of equipment reliability performance indicator and the failure rate of equipment.As a result, the execution of RCM helps company A to meet the target of equipment shutdown loss reduction, benefits to controlling cost of quality and fulfilling enterprise strategy. The practice of RCM on display assembly line equipment management should be developed further more.
