Research On Key Algorithms Of Visualization Of Medical Graphics

Scientific Visualization is a new region brought by western developed countries in 1980s, the core is a 3D space data field of visualization. Medical data's visualization have important meaning in the medical science study. The Volume rendering techniques are the important point of Scientific Visualization. The volume rendering techniques included direct volume rendering and surface rendering, surface rendering couldn't display the inner of object. This paper discussed the algorithms and theories of volume rendering, systematically introduced to volume render technique based on medical data ,then went deep into analytical the existing volume render algorithms, evaluated its advantages and shortcomings, realized 3 methods of volume render :Marchingcubes methods, raycasting method, and shearwarp method. Then discussed the realization of the raycasting and given a improved algorithm. At last, introduced some kinds of visualization software, discussed 3 kinds of raycasting algorithms: MIP method, isosurface method, composition method used in the visualization toolkit VTK, completed 3 experiments used in VTK and given a evaluation of these algorithms.In this paper,an adaptive resampling based on improved-intersecting ray casting algorithm was proposed,this method used an improved intersecting procedure to increase the render speed, which is not related to voxels but related directly to x,y,z family planes, and improved picture composition formula in the pre-procedure.The experiment express that this improved method can effectively raise the draw speed of picture at the base of not influence the picture quality.
