The Design And Implementation Of Well Logging Software System

The well logging software system is one of the most important parts of the oil well logging system. The software, which provides the necessary materials to oil exploitation, controls the whole well logging system. It also stores and processes and displays the data coming from the oil well. The traditional well logging software systems can't satisfy the well logging requirements nowadays because of their limited functions, bad interaction and low integrations. The paper resolves these problems and discusses how to develop the new oil well logging software system in detail.The paper introduces the history of oil well logging system in China and other countries. It also describes the trend of modern oil well logging system, which is the goal of the new oil well logging system. Then the design of the well logging system is introduced. Three parts of the system are analyzed, and the modules of top-level control software are emphasized. The features of two well logging software systems are analyzed briefly. The software development tool is VC++ 6.0 which is assisted by class library: MFC library and BCG control library.Every modules of the software are described. The key technologies in software implementation are also discussed. The modules include serve-table configuration, data storage, data processing and displaying, data playback and edit, calibration processing, data generator. The data printing and transmission in network are also discussed briefly. The modules above process and transfer data between them, and finish what a well logging software does. The software interface is easy to watch and interact. It's also easy to develop and debug because of its module structure. In the last part of the paper, the features of the software are summarized. The disadvantages of the software are pointed out, and advices for improving are put forward.
