Study Of Mineral Resource Management System Base On Mapinfo Plathform

Nowadays, GIS has made a rapid progress on technology and application of data collection and processing, database establishing ,data output and so on, and its application scope has already been become very abroad. But this special technology has mainly been applied to some fields such as surveying & mapping, cartography, resource and environment etc. Along with the progress of multimedia technology, information technology and network technology, GIS is no longer limited in these fields, it is being used by more and more industries and departments. So more and more enterprises need GIS technology and the routine jobs and our living are eager for an assistant of the tools based on GIS technology, too.If an application combines GIS with MIS reasonably ,it will make the data in the system more visually. And if an application runs on a network environment which links those data stored distributedly, it will make the management more efficiently. And the most significantly is GIS will get a new life if we do as mentioned above. My research project is just to develop an application on OA which combines GIS and MIS.The paper integrates mineral resource management to develop a software regarding information system of mineral resource management. It adopts software engineering thought and is based on technical tools including MapX4.5 and Visual Basic6.0.In this paper, a lot of work is taken. It involves systems analysis, confirming the goal and principle of system, designing and organiz the system datebase, developing and applying the system model and implementing the system function. Scientific exploitation steps and ideas are considered in all process. The key technique is also discussed in this system, such as ComGIS,ADO.The thesis discussed the application characteristics that GIS is used in enterprise and the approach that GIS is combined with MIS through developing Mineral Resource Management System..
