The development of Digital Broadcast Video has been energetically impulsed by the NBTA (National Broadcast Television Association) recently. In the process of developing DTV user, the promoter faces the competitions with IPTV and needs to provide attractive and increment services,as the major component, the VOD (Video-On-Demand) business has great potential.The VOD system belongs to the Cable Digital TV System on Kunshan Infoport. The system is one large-scale operation system that contains the VOD service, program distribution, program management, operation manages, system monitoring and management and etc. running on the platform of normal DTV two-way network,Its main goal is to provide user a convenient, stable, and high quality video VOD service using STB.In order to incarnate the interaction between customer and VOD system, a customer-connected system needs to be built in the VOD system. The paper puts forward the design and implementation of a customer-connected system for digital television VOD system. It uses CMTS+Cable networks as the up-signal channel. The customer-connected system, which is based on IPQAM as the technology foundation and relies on the support of Cable Modem could provide two connected mode for customers. Using the system, customers could receive VOD service by to service provider.This paper introduces the customer requirement analyzing ,customer-connected schemes, the integrated system structure and related technology theory. After repeatedly restrictedly tested, the system has been applied to Kunshan CATV Network. So far ,the system's performance is excellent and stable ,clear image and high Qos, and the system can fully achieve the goal of expectation, as well as affirm the research's exploitation production.
