Today, with the number of notebooks, PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), Smartphone in market increasing rapidly, more and more people communicate with each other by means of wireless network. So the wireless network technology has become one of the most watched technical areas.The performance monitoring is very important in the process of commercializing of wireless network technology. Until now, some scientists have completed some research on the performance monitoring of wireless network.The point we focused in this article is: how to analyses,design and implement the more accurate arithmetic of clock synchronization, which can applies to wireless network monitoring system to get more true data according to real world.First of all, before we begin to build a monitoring system, we must select a target parameter. In wireless network, the speed and frequency between uplink and downlink is usually different, so we select OWD (One-way Transmit Delay) against RTT (Round Transmit Time) as our target parameter. We can also calculate the other performance parameters from OWD such as DV (Delay Variation), PLR (Packet Loss Ratio).Now, Real Time Skew Estimation (RTSE) is most popular algorithm. But, a disadvantage of RTSE is that it can't remove the noise from the process of estimation. To solve this problem, we proposed the"Threshold-based Real-time Synchronize Algorithm"(TRSA), in which the threshold parameters were introduced for removing the noise affection to the clock skew estimation.Then we implement the wireless network performance monitoring system with TRSA. According to the data collected from the system, the TRSA is good for eliminating the noise affection. And we also concluded that we must set the suitable"threshold parameters"for the monitoring system in different wireless environment, it is the only way TRSA can work well.
