Research Of Workflow Technology Base On Shark Workflow Engine

With the popularity of the technology of computer and network, as an application technology, workflow has been wildly used in systems of interaction and the automation of business process, especially in the field of enterprise business process reengineer, building E-government, the development of E-commerce. It have been taken into account and great developed ever before. The field of using workflow management system have been more and more spread out, especially the workflow engine of imbed into other application system.This article introduces the base theory of workflow management system, and research the workflow reference model defined by WfMC (Workflow Management Coalition) with relevant interface and base components.In this paper, open source project Shark which following the criterion of WfMC is selected as research object, and the architecture analyzed. A company training system based on Shark workflow engine is designed and realized. With the appliance of Shark, the flexibility of system improved and the cost of development reduced. Working efficiency is improved after using this system.One of the important research work in this paper is discussing the application that Shark workflow engine is used in Web application system. Including:1. Using workflow editor JaWE realize Workflow customization;2. Workflow instantiation in Shark workflow engine, and workflow management and debug;3. Realizing the interface between Shark workflow engine and application system.
