In recent years, the rapid increase of temporary-resident population in many cities has brought great impacts on various aspects of economy and society. Because of temporary-resident population's particularity, the government will have to exchange information and provide intelligent supporting projects by scientific methods instead of experience and subjective conclusions.Data warehouse and relevant analytical techniques are technical hotspots in the world of late years. We can rapidly and effectively extract valuable information from mass data by reorganization and intelligent analysis. It'll assuredly have important theoretical value and significance to governmental management and decision-making when imported to temporary-resident population management.This thesis takes temporary-resident population as subject investigated, and provides solving projects which imports data warehouse technology. First, according to the requirement of temporary-resident population and service reality of data warehouse, the thesis brings forward viable methods and practical analysis-design model. Secondly, by means of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the data model of temporary-resident population is established, and eventually turns into multi-dimensional data set; Thirdly, online analytical processing is accomplished, and makes it visible to front users by using reporting services. Moreover, two data mining model including decision making tree and clustering analysis have been established, and intelligent analyzing to temporary-resident population data warehouse has been implemented.At present, our country's data warehouse construction on temporary-resident population is still in primary stage, the author sincerely hope this thesis can provide some consulting and reference value.
