JTIDS (Joint Tactical Information Distribution System) is a tactical data chain system which is widely used in U.S army and its allies. It can perform a variety of functions, such as communication, navigation and identification. Because adopting a series of techniques of coding, spread spectrum, frequence_hopping, time_hopping, it has good ability of anti-jamming. So it is difficult to detect and jam it with normal methods.Along with the development of microwave apparatus technology and pulse power technology, the power of high power microwave increases up to the dimension of GW. And the wave has great improvement in up edge time, pulse width, signal wave shape and repetition frequency etc, which can be a good choice of jamming JTIDS.I provided simulations for the anti-jamming ability of JTIDS, especially the validation of the ability of high power microwave in jam condition. At first, I introduced the mechanism and key techniques of HPM (high power microwave), then analysed system structure and working system of JTIDS, at last provided simulations and performance evaluation on JTIDS system platform. Using BER (bit error rate) as a target, I compared the anti-jamming ability of JTIDS in different interference conditions. Firstly, I put the jamming signals into the channel and compared the BER of JTIDS, I found that the HPM was effective in jamming. Then I changed the pulse width and pulse repetition frequency of the signals. Through the jamming performance analysis, I found that extending the pulse width and increasing the pulse repetition frequency of the signals could both amplify the jamming effection. Under the same conditions, doubling the pulse width or pulse repetition frequency, the jamming results were similar. Because the pulse shortening effection was relatively difficult currently, increasing the pulse repetition frequency was more feasible.Through simulations, I can see that HPM have a good jamming effection to JTIDS, and the BER is more than 10%. Although the system is not perfect due to confidentiality reasons, but I still can confirm the high power microwave has a good prospect of application. Protection of HPM is getting more and more attention, direct destruction of hardware will become increasingly difficult, as a super jamming plane is a good direction for development of HPM.
