The gap between home bearing industry and foreign enterprises is obviously large, so we must to improve the level of bearing design technology rapidly. Bearing, as one of the important standard parts of manufacturing, it must be designed by professional, a relatively complete scientific research system of bearing technology has been established, and the basic theory becomes mature. At the same time, the new technology and knowledge of bearing can not be inherited and accumulated, and bearing design excessively relies on certain expert, so its overall level has not been improved rapidly, and becomes a bottleneck of restricting bearing enterprise development.Based above considerations, relied on Northwest Bearing Co., information problems which enterprises face to in design stage is analyzed in-depth. According to the design characteristics and actual needs of bearing, we integrate bearing design knowledge and the application of information technology, and develop the bearing design expert system. With the expert design platform, product design model is established according to categories. It can accumulate the experiences of bearing design, avoid repeated work of design engineers. So they can focus on product innovation and response to key user needs, which can greatly improve design efficiency. Contemporarily, it can reduce the over-reliance on personal experience, and ensure the race ability of product design process and design data.Through a more in-depth study, the thesis puts forward a four level basic data management model to solve the origination of bearing data which has various types; a Bearing design guideline is established, the automatic analysis technology of calculation formula and CAD files automatically generated technology are researched, accordingly, bearing design expert system has good expansibility and custom-built ability. In the course of the study, from the perspective of software engineering, analysis of object class and UML model are done for business objects and operational mechanism. Compared to previous computer-aided design systems, the system has been greatly improved.Advanced Visual C #, .Net, MS SQL Server and other development languages and database technologies are applied to develop a stable and secure bearing design expert system. The effect of this system is excellent in the actual production, and it is entirely consistent with the requirements of enterprises. Praises are received from the majority of enterprises, because it greatly enhances the enterprise's design efficiency.
