As the fundamental part of most mechanical equipments, the quality of miniature bearing determines the performance of most mechanical equipments. Facing the inefficient using of the SPC in the miniature bearing production enterprises of our country, the thesis develops a SPC expert system, based on the wide exploration into the relevant papers and present achievements of SPC. The thesis makes a profound research on the knowledge acquisition, the design of knowledge base and the inference mechanism of this SPC expert system, and test it with real practice.The whole thesis is divided into seven chapters:Chapter one illustrates the present situation of miniature bearing production, introduces the present status of the research and application of SPC, emphasizes the difficulty facing the efficient using of SPC during the process of miniature bearing manufacturing, and then put forward theresearch topic this thesis------Research and develop of the SPC expert system of the manufacturingprocess of miniature bearing.Considering the specialty of miniature bearing production and using the principle and method of designing expert system, in chapter two, we discuss the structure of this SPC expert system, and give the function module of it.Knowledge acquisition is the key of the expert system's design. In chapter three, we discuss the distilling of the process information, the pre-processing rough engine and the learning program.In chapter four, based on the analysis and comparison of the three ways of knowledge expression, we put forward the knowledge expression method of this SPC expert system. In this chapter, the management and maintenance of the knowledge base is discussed.According to the analysis and comparison of the three inference mechanisms, and considering the real need of this system, in chapter five we set up a unified inferring pattern in which the frame-based inference playing a leading role and the rule-based inference playing a core role. And in the rule-based inference, we use the direct reasoning method, and the reasoning method combining direct and back reasoning method.Based on above system requirement analysis, in chapter six we discuss the program structural module, illustrate the function of each module and the communication ways of each other, develop the prototype system of the SPC expert system, and finally we describe the application analysis with examples.Finally, chapter seven makes a conclusion of the whole thesis and puts forward the future research in this field.
