Design Of Education Administration MIS For Adult Higher Education Based On UML

With the development of information technology, computers are widely used in all walks of life. Education departments also face the enormous challenge of the information age. Education administration MIS is essential to building a modern school's postulate, therefore, we focused on adult education schools, develop this Educational Administration Management Information System.This paper analyzes the background and development of the system and the development status of education management system, domestic and overseas, discusses major problems the system needed, introduces the overall situation, describes the system requirements analysis, architecture design, some representative examples and implements in detail, finally discusses the difficulty for the system.This paper uses Rational Unified Process (RUP) as software development methodology, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for the analysis and design description language, the B/S three-tier architecture for the demand management system analysis and system design, analyzes the design of concrete 10 major subsystems: cadastral management, teaching program management, materials management, courses management, examination management, performance management, tuition management, classroom management, user management and system maintenance subsystems. We implemented data processing, query statistics and report forms printing capabilities.The key problems this paper solved is as followings:First, the industry's lack of maturity, and standardized RUP and UML development standards, can easily cause differences in actual development process, increased communication costs, reduce development efficiency. The system will adopt RUP model with the traditional waterfall model combining UML, and the process of integrating document standards, which regulate the norms and standards to improve development efficiency.Second, in this system, we use a "centralized / distributed" mixed mode for the structure. Third, there are also several pressing issues: (l)Single forms of Educational Management Information System is difficult to achieve mutual sharing of resources and communications. (2)Small LAN in the form of the Educational Management Information System is isolated. And it couldn't share information between different sectors, the workstation's burden is too heavy, so it could only achieve file storage, data storage and printer sharing. The network utilization is too low. (3)Mainframe terminal form of Educational Management Information System spending is too large, difficult to open, maintain and upgrade, with little develop freedom. All of these is not good form to the academic management, and it's also our systems need to resolve.
