This topic mainly aims at some insufficience of satellite antenna servo system which exists in the follow-up control aspect. Using monolithic integrated circuit and virtual instrument technology, the Servo control system of satlellite communication antenna base on Labview is designed.The virtual instrument technology, combining with the instrumental technology and computer technology, provide a wonderful solution for testing engineers. Using the virtual instrument technology, the only thing we have to do is to send the signals that need to be measured into computers via I/O interface devices. Then utilizing VI developing tools and the powerful functions of computer to analyze, process and save data, as well as the display ability of monitor. A VI system that meets special request for testing is designed.A Satellite Antenna Servo Control System is designed which combine the virtual instrument technology and software programming technology. With the help of single chip data acquisition system , a automatic testing system is developed. It adopt the graphical virtual instruments programming tool LabV1EW7.0 of NI which integrate all the hardware into a sound automatic testing system. The experiment data are output to the upper computer for analyzing and measuring using the virtual instrument, and then results are transmitted to the monitor. Thus the entire test process is completed.For the sake of realization of the servo control system satellite antenna's various functions, the theories of servo antenna system and the solutions of the instrument functions are studied. The virtual instrument technology has been elaborated thoroughly。During the process of hardware design of control system, the principle of single chip and its peripheral signal acquisition circuit are introduced and the solution of serial port communication between computer and single chip go into particulars under the Labview circumstance. As a result, a data acquisition system is designed using MCU to acquire and transmit data to PC via serial port communication under Labview circumstance.When it goes to software design of control system, the arithmetic and program for designing and realizing the function module of the virtual instrument is analyzed in detail. Based on that, various function of information processing and control of antenna are designed and realized .After the function test and the performance analysis,. the design of the satellite communication antenna servo control system based on Labview can meet the requirements.As traditional test system that users can only monitor and control the system and output outcomes locally, the VI system studied in this paper enable any remote access through the network via an internal technology of NI—Remote Panels. Thus causes the overall system to become a remote virtual instrument system.Through network, users are able to monitor and control the servo system at any place and get the testing result easily.At last, conclusions concerning problems countered during system designing and debugging, solutions and the personnel experience are given and prospect of the application and practice meaning of the system is presented.
