At present, the shooting target training is mainly based on the real bullet. Its cost is expenditure and it needs the man to reply the scores to the trainer. So it is not exactly enough. Therefore, in order to respond to the "Scientific and technological training", to reduce the military spending, it is necessary to develop a training system to simulate the real one. In the recent few years, with the continuous improvement of the science and technology, particularly the rapid development of optoelectronic technology, it becomes a trend to replace the actual shooting training with the laser bullets targeting system.This issue highlights a realistic simulation training which can be used in real targeting training, by the semiconductor laser guns instead of the real firearms with real bullets. These diodes locating on the surface of the target can give us the current shooting performance and the results also can be maintained by the software system installed on the PC. The users can login in the system to inquire the current results or historical results, and they can also see the accomplishments intuitively. In addition, the system adds a voice to the target device, which can tell the user the current results when they training. In this issue some basic principles of the photoelectric technology is given at first, secondly, the hardware circuit and the software system is designed. At the same time, this issue has also introduced the MSP430F149 MCU and the communication protocol used in the system.
