Television, having been the most widely and rapid mode of artistic creation and cultural transmission nowadays, has shown the largest influence on people's spirit and life style. Cable television transport network has developed very fast and the competition has become more and more fierce. Although television is one of the most rapid and direct way for people to get information, it's not the only way. So TV producers must pay more attention to producing competitive columns with advantages and specialties, which also means that the special packaging of TV columns is indispensable to attract more viewers. This packaging of television not only has become a most common concept, but an inevitable trend during the pursuit of specialty. Dealing with more and more fierce competition, higher requirements for the TV column have been put forward to TV producers to attract more viewers. In these requirements, gorgeousness, taste and visual impact are not enough, while the clear specialty of a TV column should be extremely emphasized.The packaging of TV columns is a topic with high requirement of practical works, and this topic must be studied closely related to the market economy, rather than only based on certain theories. A good hand at summarizing from the practical work experience is also needed.In this paper, the aspects of Individualized packaging of TV columns have been deeply investigated from some typical cases of packaging. Each TV column has its own content and characteristic, and a fashionable mode of packaging can help to broaden this specialty. In China, packaging of TV column is still on its way with the problems under discussion. During this paper, typical cases are summarized through this way, formulating the detail, analyzing the problems and what the origin is, finally proposing some efficient ways of resolving problems.The background of this paper has been summarized at the beginning, the current situation of TV columns' packaging, the aim and the meaning of this paper included. In chapter one, kinds of TV columns have been briefly introduced, and the concept of TV column as well as some matters need to be cared have also been elaborated. In Chapter II, the necessity of the packaging has been briefly discussed. With the foundation and development of China's market economy, TV industry has been also pushed gradually onto a market channel. Packaging has become one of the most important links during today's merchandise producing and marketing. Besides the necessity, the efficient ways of improving the column image and the mature symbolization of the column have also been formulated. In Chapter III, some deficiencies and problems about this TV columns' packaging have been enumerated and analyzed, especially the excessive pursuit of visual packaging and lack of others. Based on the analysis in Chapter III, some common strategies of TV columns' packaging and rules of individualized packaging have been expounded in Chapter IV. In Chapter V, the principles of aesthetic and overall packaging, as well as the concrete way of packaging and publicity, have been illustrated. Then the trend of column packaging has been described in Chapter VI. It's also pointed out that a good column means good planning and packaging. The quality of a TV column must be continuously improved to meet the higher needs of people on culture and information. To achieve this goal, individualized packaging has become the most important element. In Chapter VII, several domestic and international typical columns have been analyzed by comparison. Finally, all works in this paper has been concluded.
