The Study On Mobile Phone Television

This thesis is a study on mobile phone television which is developed recently. Firstly, the conception of mobile phone television and the development situation of global mobile phone television were introduced,such as U.S.A, Europe, Japan, South Korea. Secondly, three kinds of techniques and operational models were analyzed. Mobile phone TV business abroad is the effective mergence of digital TV & Broadcasting and mobile communication. However, the mobile phone TV business in China is based on wireless cell network and has to depend on the network. Thirdly, the obstacles in development of mobile phone TV were analyzed by many examples, such as policy problem, cost problem, quality problem, technique problem,etc. What's more, the solution and suggestion were given, that is, to make the standard to the development of mobile phone TV, to develop the technique , to lower the cost, to supply abundant TV programs, and to make the policy , then the prospect was also forecasted.The conclusion of the thesis is that, it is impossible for mobile phone TV be soon populated, and it is also wrong to say mobile phone TV can not be developed. The current development of mobile phone TV can be viewed as the preview of functions of 3rd generation mobile phone, which can not get much profit now. Therefore, mobile phone TV will be a popular mass media pattern in area of 3G.The thesis is an important attempt for using Journalism Communication theory to study on mobile phone TV, which can give some good suggestion to research person who enters the field of mobile phone TV.
