The main content of the thesis is about the study on a new type high performance power supply of Semiconductor Diode-pumped Solid State Laser (DPSSL). With the development of laser industry, the high-power DPSSL plays a very important role in industry application, therefore taking the research of the power supply of DPSSL is very significant.Firstly, the reasons of lower power factor and high harmonic are analyzed in the conventional laser power supply, and the need of load characteristic of the laser is also thought. So the new type high performance power supply of DPSSL which is constituted of two convertors is obtained. The principle of the main circuit, control method and protective circuit are described. Especially in Active Power Factor Correction (APFC) circuit, a new method of large period average which is used in guidance parameters design and a new homeostasis criterion which is used in checking the stability of output are obtained. Based on these methods, the design procedure to the main circuit and control circuit of two convertors is discussed. The experiment results show that the theoretical analysis and design method have correctness and two convertors have satisfied the design targets.By the mathematics and circuit modeling, the two convertors control systems are simulated. The simulation results show that the power supply of DPSSL has excellent electrical characteristic as the theoretical analysis has proved. In the end, summarize the experience in the experiment and draw some conclusions as reference for further research.
