APFC System Design And Implementation

This article is aimed at the design for a new Active Power Factor Correction (APFC) system. We made a complete theory analysis and system design. Then we made the circuit of the system. The practice proves the theory is correct. A new controller TDA16888 which was made in Siemens company was used to control the system. A Boost converter was used in the main circuit. We made the circuit board of the Active Power Factor Correction system and regulated it. From the figure of the circuit, the system' s performance is good. The effect of which is excellent. The system fulfills all design requirement, and can get extend use.
