RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology began to be developed in the 80's of last century. It is used with radio frequency to realize dual wireless communication so as to attain the goal of target recognition and data exchange.Base on the ISO/IEC 15693 standard, RFID reader which is working at the frequency of 13.56MHz has been designed, and the main processor is TMS320LF2407A.Firstly, the system structure and working principle of RFID system are discussed. The physical mechanism of RFID system working at the frequency of 13.56MHz is emphatically clarified. The hardware design of the reader has been put forward on the basis of ISO/IEC 15693 standard. The analog circuit parts of the reader are used to transmit and receive signals, and the the reader's digital circuit parts which mainly include the peripheral interface of the processor TMS320LF2407A have been designed according to the practical need of the application system. In order to meet the request of real time processing, the reader's DSP softwares which consist of coder, decoder and anti-collision algorithm have been designed in assemble language. At last, several application fields of the designed reader are briefly introduced.
