With the development of computer networks and multimedia technology, e-learning as an advanced teaching technique, has become a hot research field of modern education. As a synchronous teaching method, the real-time E-teaching system transmits teaching scene images, voice, and teaching resources to remote students'terminals or more live classrooms synchronously, and is now widely used as a important supplement and expanding to traditional school education.Existing real-time live teaching systems were directly converted from the videoconferencing systems, based on the traditional C/S structural design. They demand a higher hardware configuration, and are limited of loading capability, poor of system expansibility. Their broadcast effects are not very satisfactory also. Most of them which unable to fully support national or international e-teaching standards cannot make use of existing teaching resources and therefore have created tremendous waste of teaching resources.In response to these problems mentioned above, from the point of actual needs of distance learning, this thesis discussed the architecture design of the Standardized Real-time E-teaching System, which based on B/S structure and developed through .NET platform, with studying the key technology used on the system, such as Stream media technology, Web technologies, XML technology and ActiveX technology. Also this thesis discussed the standardization of the system, and completed the main functions of the system. The system fully complies with the relevant national standards, has high quality audio video transmission, real-time two-way interactive features, and takes full advantage of various teaching resources. The standardization courseware which created by the system can be edited as standard teaching resources.Web-based Standardized Real-time E-teaching System is unlimited in space and time; has much lower learning costs, improves the quality of teaching, and promotes socialization and modernization of education. The system presented in this thesis can be implemented in enterprise better.
