The Design Of A CAN Bus Chinese Fire Indicating Panel Based On Small RTOS51

Fire indicating panels are important constituent of the fire-alarm system, and are significant of protecting the people and their property. The embedded real-time operating system(RTOS), which would make it easier to develop, maintain and port a fire-alarm system, will be one hot-spot in the research fields of the fire-alarm system. The design and implementation of a CAN-based Chinese fire indicating panel, which use Small RTOS51, is proposed in this paper.The developments of fire-alarm system, field-bus and RTOS are introduced in the beginning. Also, some typical field-bus and RTOS are mentioned in brief. The future constitution of a fire-alarm system based on RTOS is discussed.In chapter 2, the principle, architecture and frame format of CAN bus are introduced in detail. The application layer protocols of CAN bus can be a flexible definition. Some attentions about how to construct the application layer of CAN bus have been given in the end of this chapter.The system design, which can be divided into hardware design and software design, is planning according to the functions and demands of whole system. In hardware design part, the principle and functions of hardware modules are discussed. The features of Small RTOS51 and our own application layer protocols of CAN bus were introduced in software design. How to construct a multi-tasking system and how to switch and dispatch tasks under Small RTOS51 are discussed in detail. At the end of software design part, a Cx51 embedded programming hidden danger which caused by MCS-51 architecture is analysed. Two principles have been submitted to avoid this potential danger.In the last chapter, some inspect and debug results of the fire indicating panel are given. This product has reached the national standard and runs well since then.
