In this thesis, the author starts with giving comprehensive introductions to the actuality, prospects, as well as the existing problems of the application of embedded systems in numerical control field. After that, for the need of producing embedded pneumatic marker, the author detailedly discusses the working principle of pneumatic marker machines, designs a new marking control system based on ARM substituting the system based on PC, and devises a new marking algorithm based on vector fonts, utilizing the fundamental theory of computer graphics. The highlight of this thesis is the 2-dimensional, pseudo-three-dimensional and arc algorithms designed for embedded system instead of PC and 51-singlechip based algorithms. Besides, the system provides common edit-module for marking.The system, designed and implemented independently, has passed high-temperature test and vibration test. Moreover, as a product, it is highly popular on the contemporary market. The key algorithms provided in this thesis and its implement is of remarkable value to the further development of industrial pneumatic marker machines as well as numerical control products.
