Community has great value in the construction of socialistic harmonious society, with the unique feature of fundamentality, large scale, facing the front line in our country's political, economical and cultural construction. The construction of harmonious community cannot be done without the community archival work. The archival work could greatly strengthen the function of community service and also could bring vital and practical value to the harmonious development for the community. However, there are still some problems in community archival work, resulting bad influence for the community, for the sake of too short time in archival work's carrying out. For the sake of it, the author has taken on spot research in Xiyuan Community, Luohu District of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, Xinhong Community, Chenghua District, Gongrencun Community and Wufu Community, Jinniu District of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, so as to find the practical issue, which makes the paper bear more guiding meaning. The paper focuses on the research of urban community archives management.In the paper the author clarifies the connotation of community archives and also its extension at first, which is the logical starting point of the paper. Then the author comprehensively summarizes the issues of the community archives management and also explains how all these come into being. Finally the author provides corresponding solution for enhancing the community archival work from managing regulations and practical work.As far as the extension of urban community archives, it is believed by the author that it has a broad meaning, including the archives of residents committee, public organizations, owner committee, property management enterprises, community work stations and etc. Furthermore, the extension of community archives is keeping changing, which broadens as the entity of community grows. But family archives don't belong to community archives.As far as the practical situation of community archives management, it is bothered by the various problems. The author makes a comprehensive summary: the awkward identity for the community residents committee; chaotic, unscientific archives management regulation; hard to collect, chaotic arrangements, highly keeping but lowly utilized; no characteristic; lack of fund, without proper managing equipments; high flow for the archives management personnel and low qualification for the employee.For the issues listed above, the author suggests to enhance the community archival work from the management regulation and practical work. From the managing level increase the sense of community archives; restructure the regulation of community archives smoothly; the archives management department has to find the right way for work guiding from practical work; stipulate the general archives management regulation. From the practical work side, it is necessary to do well in the work of collection, arrangement and utilization; on the premise of completeness, carry out the collection work with certain focus, eager to research innovative way for arrangement and take multiple methods for archives utilization; relying on the community information platform, strengthen the informationization construction of the community archives; pick up the special archives to make the community archives have more "taste" of community and grassroots; build a team with professional archives member to increase the service level for community archives management.
