With the development of the digital broadcasting technology, Digital video broadcasting-satellite (DVB-S) is adopted by many countries as their national broadcasting standard because of its unique features such as its capability to provide long-distance and high-performance service. The paper will discuss the following problems in sequence within the design of DVB-S base-band receive chip's key module: RS decoder and convolution code synchronizer.1.
