Today, most of libraries own electronic resources for readers and provide information services. But they do not mine the resources to carry out intelligent information and provide navigation services. Therefore, when readers browse the library website, they are limited to reading books "electronic version". It does not reflect computer technology to the convenience of the readers. In addition, the source of library's electronic resources is too lonely. It can not be effectively connected to the Internet on the rich resources. In the user interface, at present most of digital libraries only support Boolean search based on keywords, and not provide natural language understanding browse. It also can't reflect the relationship between the various entities in documents. So it is difficult to be comprehensive, rapid, accurate to guide reader's access to the information they need.With the development of computer science, ontology and Semantic Web, it is possible to understand the semantic information of network, integrate various network information resources, and provide intelligent navigation. This paper proposes the digital library intelligent navigation system model based on digital library theory, Semantic Web technology and Ontology. It incorporates electronic resources of libraries and digital resources on the Internet. It also makes semantic analysis, establishes the file indexing, and provides readers with intelligent information navigation interface.The framework of this paper is that, first of all, a brief introduction to the relevant background knowledge of digital library, the Semantic Web and Ontology. Then it analyzes digital library currently facing difficulties. It explains the reasones of why construct the intelligent navigation systems and the system functions. Among them, we focus on how to build intelligent navigation system and intelligent navigation system module. Finally, from a point view of system implement, we analyse the key technologies of semantic navigation system. And built intelligent navigation system prototype based on open source software.
