Research On Semantic Description Method Of Digital Library Resource Based On Semantic Web

Along with the continuous development of Internet technology, the dilated information volume and varied forms of information, the traditional library can no longer fulfill people's requirements, and therefore the Internet based digital library is emerged as the times require. Plowever, in a certain degree, the resource organization and retrieving mode inherit the working mode of traditional library in current digital library system. On one hand, it makes the transformation from traditional library to digital library more convenient. On the other hand, it also brings the weakness of traditional library such as low recall rate and precision. Therefore, this paper is trying to optimize the retrieving efficiency of digital library from resource description's point of view through an effective digital library resource organization mode.Semantic web technology is one of the new research fields with huge development foreground, and attracts wide attention in computer science area at the moment. This technology could semantically describe the resources and also have an Internet technology background. Together with these two features, there is a perfect matching point with digital library technology. Based on Semantic Web technology, this paper studied resource description of digital library, and put semantics description method into practice.First of all, the paper briefly introduces digital library technology and system structure of digital library, and analyzes the function of resource description on the general efficiency of digital library. Secondly, in the light of the application of. digital library, the paper expounds the discussion in detail upon the semantic web technology and relative theory of ontology and made a minute introduction on the description method of semantic web. Then, the paper designed a semantic web-based semantic description frame of digital library resource. Many low efficiency problems that caused by traditional resource organization mode have been solved through this frame. Finally, this paper tests and verifies all solved problems by using concrete examples, and thus verified the validity and feasibility of the semantic description frame of digital library that put forwarded by the author.
