Switch Array is the crosspoint in audio and video transporting systems. Normal Switch Arrays have the specification of limited in/out ports, and there is no device on sale which can change the audio and video crosspoints synchronistically. The topic is due to the lack of the Audio & Video Switch Array System in the video centre of one spacecraft launch centre in China The paper studied all the problems in the used system, analysed the relationship between the problems, and direct out the way to solve the problems. The aim of this research is to make a device which can not only change the audio and video crosspoints synchronistically, but also has some exellent characteristics such as easily-operated, easily-seviced, dual data-input mode, etc.The main substance of this dissertation is the design for the device, including the analysis for original demands, the discuss on the capability of the device, the demands on the general characterics, the design for the system structure, the ways to realizing the functions, the design for each sub-system , the design for hardware & software, the design for EMC and PCB in the system,etc. The thesis describes the problems and the solving methods for every section, and it also illustrates the design thoughts and the structures and principles of the circuits.
