With the development of the information society, computing mode is extending to pervasive/ubiquitous computing from network computing, and more requirements is brought forward to the intelligence of living space. Upon that, the notion of Smart Space is appeared. A special smart space (for instance home, laboratory, hospital and so on), which contains multifarious appliances and subsystems, can make better inosculation between people and devices. However, only with devices is far from to construct "anytime, anywhere and human-center" pervasive computing environments.First of all, the paper introduces the necessary of system construction and the notion of Smart Space; then introduces the relationship between Smart Space and pervasive computing and actuality of Samrt Space; then summarizes the works of other people and proposes the problems such as extendable, configurable, manageable and context-aware which ubiquitous service system platform (USSP) have to solve.Secondly, starting with the structure of the USSP including terminates, service gateway and server, the paper focuses on discussing service gateway and semantic modeling of smart space.Thirdly, based on the support platform, the paper constructs simulation application scenes: smart home, Smart Lab and service transfer between smart spaces.Lastly, after concluding the work of the paper, the prospect of the USSP is give. The paper's innovation points are as follow:(1) Proposes and designs a ubiquitous service system platform (USSP).(2) Uses ARM + Linux +OSGi to construct Service Gateway.(3) Proposes, designs and implements SSN_O architecture to describe and process Semantic information of Smart Space.(4) Based on USSP, construct simulation implementation of Smart Space.
