Pervasive computing is a hotspot in current information technology world, and many researchers had done some work on pervasive computing all over the world. The fusion of information spaces and space physics and people can get services transparently which are necessary conditions in the conception of pervasive computing. As a key technology of pervasive computing, context-aware has become an important link of pervasive computing research. System provides real-time and appropriate service for different users must be able to perceive the current context environment, according to the current context environment to provide users with personalized service. Environment and users have diversity and dynamic, which is a technical challenge to the context information representation, acquisition and storage. In order to develop the application based on context-aware computing, feasible solution of context modeling, awareness and processing must be proposed.This thesis does some research and exploration works on the existing context awareness technology, proposes a context-aware computing framework CACFO, and discusses the specific application design based on CACFO combined with smart laboratory system. The main tasks as follows:1. Describes the pervasive computing and context-aware computing, and other related theoretical concepts, analyses context-aware computing in the current research situation, the key technical points and trends.2. Proposes a context-aware computing framework CACFO based on ontology after analysis and comparison of the typical context-aware computing technologies, this application framework composed of context of adaptation, context-aware computing, service management and context application structure levels and one context storage and management module has good versatility.3. Designed smart laboratory system based on CACFO, detailed describes the operation of the smart laboratory system, ontology construction method, technology roadmap and the realization of some of the features.4. Analyze application framework and the system combine with the experiment, pointed out that the inadequacy of the system and framework, and summarize the research work and prospects.This thesis analyses and compares advantages and disadvantages of the various prevalent context-aware technologies, builds an ontology-based context-aware application framework, the last designs and partially implements the smart laboratory system based on this application framework.
