Study And Realization Of Graphics System About The Railway Freight Transportation Capacity Allocation Based On GIS

Nowadays, Geographical Information System (GIS) is in the great use in many kinds of fields. Especially because of the distinct characteristics of railway transportation about geographical information, a lot of researches in railway fields are based on the GIS. Besides, the existing of the GIS improves the work rate of many departments of the railway system. In this period, railway freight transportation capacity is far from sufficient that cannot meet all circles' demands. How to make the railway freight transportation capacity much more reasonable and in maximum use are becoming a great problem in urgent settle. This paper is about research and realization of the graphic system about railway freight transportation capacity allocation based on the GIS which belongs to the Major Clients' Management Information System. This system is one of the Railway Department Information Technology Central's major projects. In this graphic system, I show originality about making the graphic system based on the GIS apply in the field of railway freight transportation capacity allocation. In the research about this graphic system, I solve the problems coming one after another so that I can accomplish this graphic system's key functions. This graphic system can not only make the GIS and railway transportation integrate much better, but also make the assistance on the field of railway freight transportation capacity allocation.This graphic system's maps' drawing and editing are based on the MapInfo6.5 which is graphic software. The main functions of this system are developed by the MapXtrem2005 and C# which are based on the .Net framework. And the data are managed by the Oracle8.0.This paper expounds the background of development, the data basement, the choice of maps, the thinking of designs and the process of developing about the graphic system in details. Then it introduces emphasis on the three key projects of this system, which are the show of Assembly stations and Calculation stations, the show of the utilization ratio about the total railway lines and the show of the empty train concentration path. In addition, it describes some basic functions of the graphic system. Finally, the paper prospects for the graphic system's future development.
