Design And Implement Of Railway Information Sharing Individualized Push System Based On RSS Technology

According to the demands and construction goal of information resources sharing within the railway system, a railway information sharing platform is actively creating in China. But it is also obligatory to resolve the problem of how to get information effectively. The present sharing mode requires users ask for the needed information on their own initiative before getting it from sharing platform. However, there are mass of data in the great platform, a novel and efficient way is needed to obtain the appointed information. Railway Information Sharing Individualized Push System Based On RSS Technology proposed in this paper is a portion of "The Study Of Railway Information Resources Integration And Information Sharing" project which is supported by MOR. Comparing with the present mode, the system changes the way of railway information sharing. The sharing platform can push information to users without their requests every time, so users can obtain more available data per unit time.RSS is a technology of information aggregation and a facile method of information issuing and transfering between different websites, each website can use information easily from other websites which support RSS push service. RSS technology has the advantages of aggregation, instantaneity, lower cost, no junk information, so it is widely used in blog, news and so on, but it is foremost applied in railway system in this paper. The proposed system combines RSS technology with railway information sharing and is developed by using Java, Oracle 9i and RSS 2.0 related technologies. In additional, pure data in table format can be pushed.RSS infromation push has two steps: RSS syndication and RSS aggregation. In this paper, XML, DOM, Ajax and RSS 2.0 technologies are used to implement infromation push. Railway Information Sharing Individualized Push System Based On RSS Technology creates RSS 2.0 document by using java, parse it by using Ajax and DOM, then show the result for users. The system takes railway timetable for example, it proves that RSS information push is feasible in railway information sharing. All the functions described above guarantee that the railway information can be shared efficiently.There are 27 figures, 18 tables and 18 references in this paper.
