Study Of Design, Operation And Application Of UPS System For Large Capacity Unit

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) plays a very important role in large capacity generator`s stable operating. The application of UPS for large capacity generator is studied in this paper.Firstly, several key problems in UPS designing, power source planning, evaluation of the system capacity and special battery deploying, are analized. And the detailed conclution and applying calculation method are proposed. Secondly, the cooperation problem between UPS and generator is proposed according to operation experience, and a representative case is studied based on derivative analytical conlutions. Lastly, incorporating theory studied and operation experience, UPS systems of 2×60MW generators from HuaDian Baotou utility are studied in structure, debugging and maintenance, and the conclusion is represented systemicly.
