A Generator Maintenance Scheduling System For Yunnan Power Grid Corporation

Because of the direct influence on the firm output and operating, the generator maintenance scheduling affects the reliability and the economic operating of power system significantly. With the power system's scale becomes larger and larger, the generator maintenance scheduling will be so complex that it can not be worked out to meet the developing needs without the help of computer. In recent years, many studies are contributed to optimal automatic maintenance arrangement. In order to make the arrangement more quickly and reasonable, decision support system for generator maintenance scheduling should be developed.This paper presents a generator maintenance scheduling system which is developed for Yunnan Power Grid Corporation. It can deal with a series of problem about generator maintenance scheduling, including optimal scheduling, data maintenance and report forms' making, load forecast and reliable indices calculation.Because the mathematic optimal model is restricted by the scale of power system and constraint conditions, heuristic model is adopted in the system. Take into account some practical operation conditions, this system choices the levelized reserved method(both levelized reserve capacity and reserve rate) as optimal algorithm. After giving the maintenance scheduling scheme, the reliability of each scheme can be calculated by stochastic production simulation method. The reliability index can be used to further guide the maintenance arrangement.As an important support system of Yunnan Power Grid Corporation, it has friendly interface, perfect function and so improves the management of the corporation.
