In the accelerated life test of He-Ne laser,we choose current as the accelerated stress and consider the laser output power dropped to half of the initial power as the failure criterion of the tubes. So the accurate collection of power data in the accelerated life test is very important, it has a strong bearing on the correctness of the ultimate results. However, the test usually needs a long period of time, and the number of samples tested demands more. If measured by artificial, there are not only exists subjective reading errors for the measuring by different person, but also requires a lot of energy. Therefore, the introduction of data acquisition technology in accelerated life test is very necessary.Based on the analysis of requirements of the He-Ne laser accelerated life test and the study of basic theories of the data collection, we have developed a eight-channel laser power automatic acquisition system based on ADAM modules and the configuration software. Create data collection, dynamic data base, create real-time trending display and historical trending display, develop the function that process historical data, and process the original data collected using digital filtering methods which further increase the reliability of power data acquisition. This paper introduces its hardware and software development process.The result of the application reveals that this system can measure the output power of the He-Ne laser accurately, and it has better stability, expansibility, adaptability for the use in the ring He-Ne laser experiment research.
