Wireless Mesh network is a high bit-rate and high-capability network, it is a new distributed network as"the last mile"resolution, and it can be considered as a simple version of Ad hoc network. For recent years, WLAN has developed well, but due to the limitation of the coverage range of its AP, lots of APs are required to set WLAN for a large area, which will be expensive. Wireless mesh network (WMN) could solve this problem. Because each node in WMN could transfer data and this could expand the transmission distance of WLAN. Routing is an important technology in WMN. In this thesis, the routing protocol whose aim is at load balance in wireless Mesh network is studied.A novel routing protocol -CLLBR with the capacity of load balance is proposed in this paper. This algorithm is a typical on-demand routing protocol. Using CLLBR the destination node can select the lowest load path and reply an RREP packet to source node according to the load information carried by RREQ packet, and this could make the source node aware the best route path in the network. CLLBR routing protocol is made by following constrain conditions, the shortest path, the least load and the least load balance degree. So CLLBR could select the best routing path according to the current load distribution of the network, it could decrease the average packet transmission delay and raise the throughput of the WMN.
