With the development of the next generation Internet, network access equipment requirements have broadband access, multimedia transmission, mobility, and other characteristics. Terminal system is the direct access to network services. Therefore, the development of network terminals met the next-generation Internet requirement have important practical significance.Against this background, this dissertation proposes the Communication System of Mobile Terminal according to the Technical reference of CNGI Demonstration project. This proposal is consisted of four components: Radio Frequency Module, Base Band Processing Module, the Media Access Control Module, and the software applies module. The paper focuses on the Media Access Control Protocol of mobile terminal for the demonstration of the implementation proposal of MAC layer and the compartmentalization of the hardware and software of MAC protocol function operation. And also, the thesis elaborates on the compartmentalization of MAC function modules, the interface between software operation part and FPGA operation part, the management and data interfaces of PHY and FPGA operation part. The MAC function includes frame analysis, frame encapsulation, WEP encryption, the integrity check of massages with CRC-32, the generation and transformation of ACK frame realized and validated in FPGA. The union debugging with software implementation and PHY implementation validates the implementation of MAC function in FPGA in timing, furthermore, guarantees the operation of MAC integrated function.
