As the high speed development of video processing technology and DSP technology, the video processing system has been widely applied in daily life, military, industry, medical treatment and others. The video processing system based on DSP, as an important technology of real-time video processing, has been the emphasis of research. Video encoder and decoder is the precondition of accomplish the digital video processing, high performance DSP is the core part of accomplish the arithmetic of video processing. So it is important to research the video processing system based on DSP.In this paper, the basic technology of video processing field and the DSP system design are introduced at first. According to performance and target of the system design, design a system can accomplish multi-channel video collecting, processing and displaying. This system uses video encoder and decoder as its video transformation unit, DSP as its core processing unit and CPLD as its logic control unit.The design of this system includes video transformation module, DSP module, memory interface module, CPLD module, power supply and clock module. On the basic of introduce system constitute principle, detailed introduces the hardware design of the system take the module as unit, and also displays the schematic diagrams. At the same time, this paper analysis the key technology of PCB board design in the high speed digital system design, and then brings forward the PCB board design plan of this hardware system.At last, the paper points out several constructive advices on improving and expanding the system.
