With the rapid progress of compressed video communication technology and network technology, the digital video broadcasting system is widely used. More and more traditional TV broadcasting systems are moving their system platform from analog AV technology to new generation IT information plat-form based on the digital AV encode/decode technology and internet tech-nology. The computer technology is widely used by nowaday broadcasting system. The encoded video and audio data are stored in the disk array of broadcasting server. It's a totally automatic system combined with EPG and broadcasting control system, so the broadcasting server is the key section in the whole system.But a majority of broadcasting servers broadcast with hardware device, and there are some shortages such as the high cost and the limitation of the max supported channels of single server. It will be the largish restriction for the system demand in miniature. With the advance rapidly evolution of com-puter technology, the old system model will definitely be substituted by new system with higher performance and lower price.With a view to this technology development trend, I analyzed the key technology and the advantage or shortage of the existed digital broadcasting systems, and I tried to combine the multimedia encode/decode technology with the network communicating technology to design a broadcasting archi-tecture based on MPEG2-TS technology and without any hardware en-code/decode device. I designed and implemented an improved broadcasting system based on MPEG2-TS technology. It's a high performance broadcast solution based on TS key element index technology and AIO disk model. The system is realized in Linux and Windows and is successfully and reliably used in the Shanghai IPTV broadcast system.The most important research is listed below:1,Analyze the feature of multimedia encode/decode arithmetic used by digital broadcasting server and compare the advantage and shortage of sev-eral primary system I/O model, then do some experiment to get the relative data.2,Put forward and design a pre-Index mechanism based on the PCR and I-Frame data, and it reduced the disk I/O load demands when broadcasting.3,Two broadcasting model are designed for different server demand. One is designed for system memory when the other is designed for hard disk, and it establish the system architecture foundation for this article.4,Combine the theory and research conclusion upwards, and a broad-casting system architecture is set up based on the AIO technology. Finally the application system is implemented by this architecture.The implemented system can greatly reduce the cost of digital broadcast-ing system, and then upgrade the performance in effect. It's a high reliability and high efficiency broadcasting system for digital broadcasting domain.
