The Joint Detection Based On The Smart Antenna In The TD-SCDMA System

The joint detection technology is one kind of multi-user detection. The MAI(Multi-Access Interference) is brought out by it that there are some correlation between each user's signal in the real CDMA mobile communication system. The TD-SCDMA system, which use the joint detection technology to take the separation of user signal as an unite related detection, has excellent capacity of resisting disturbance, and could improve the capacity of system remarkable.However, it is proved by theory and practice that the compute quantity of the joint detection will increased rapidly with the greater of band spread factor. Because of this, the joint detection is hard to be used in project. The purpose of this paper is to solve this problem. The key to this problem is to control the amount of user. Because of the space selecting of smart antenna which could balance the user amount of each cell, it will be easy to implement the joint detection when combining two of them.In this paper, it firstly introduces the principle of Joint detection and Smart Antenna, does the emulation under limited condition, gets the influence of each other has on TD-SCDMA. And then, compares the emulation result to the original one, it is discovered that the new method increases the capacity of system and enlarge the cover range. So it is effective to combine Joint detection and Smart Antenna. At last, it gives a sketch of the development trend and prospective of the two technologies.
