With the high-speed development of the computer and image processing technology, the application of the digital image has infiltrated into many fields, and so the quality of the image will be asked higher and higher, especially, in the high-precision image analysis and image measurement systems. The manual work was hard when sampling image within close quarters for the mini-objects. But the quality of the image was not very satisfied. Based the thesis on the digital image processing technology, developed the image sampling system which has the ability of object recognition. According to the result of the object recognition, the digital camera was removed to the right position where the object full of the whole image.The portable system development of the image sampling system based on USB and Object recognition and the realization in the technology were described in detail.Firstly, in the thesis, the theoretic foundation of digital image processing was introduced, which included image pretreatment, edge detection and object recognition algorithm. And then, the thesis introduced the whole design of the image sampling. The image sampling system can be divided into four parts, such as image sampling, object recognition, the mechanical movement and lighting, and also introduced the function and the design for all parts in detail. The thesis introduced the USB bus, MCU and the design of the firmware, the operational principle and the speeded up and slowed down for stepper motor, and so on.The paper is the author in the basis special domain project demand, a collar which the organization team develops contains the software and in hardware's image gathering system foundation summary and the refinement. This system's final goal is for in has each kind of specific limiting condition job site, simple, the high efficiency gain satisfies the high grade image which the project needs. System the image which transmits to the camera carries on the target identification, must gather truly the image is obtains from the digital camera. After systems operation, the PC end application processes the image which gathers the camera carries on the real time display, after receiving the recognition order, before the PC application procedure will send out, the last image data to carry on the pretreatment, the pretreatment goal will be transform the color image to the gradation image, and except image in noise. Then it distinguishes the goal using the target identification algorithm in the entire field of view position, after it will distinguish the result to transform into step-by-step the parameter which the electrical machinery moves the micro controller, step-by-step electrical machinery's migration by the micro controller control, after completing, waits for the user photograph, the photograph completes, the image passes to PC to preserve.In the end, the calibration of the camera and digital camera and the result of test were described.
